Dr. King is a graduate of Eastern Mennonite University (VA) and the University of Virginia Medical School. He completed a one-year internship in Harrisburg, PA and a three-year residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He has been in private practice for over 30 years. Dr. King is accredited with the American Medical Association and the American Board of Ophthalmology

Dr. King is a graduate of Furman University and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He has been with Viewmont Eye Associates since May 2001. Dr. King is accredited with the American Optometric Association and the North Carolina Board of Optometry.

Our Practice

Dr. Walter King and his brother Dr. Harry L. King founded Viewmont Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Associates in 1982. Dr. Gordon Fletcher, AuD joined them at this time to form a trio of doctors specializing in eye and ear health care services. As the practice grew, the King brothers realized the need for expansion. Dr. Harry King built a new office next door, leaving Dr. Walter King space to grow within the existing building.

Interior and exterior design improvements came to what is now called Viewmont Eye Associates when Dr. Wally King, OD joined his dad's practice in May 2001. Dr. Harry King is no longer with us, but his memory remains on the façade of the building where his practice lived, the Harry L. King Building. In 2005, Dr. Walter King and Dr. Wally King continue to meet your family's eye care needs with the concern and care you and your family deserve.
